We accidentally walked to the entrance for climbing the dome of Florence Duomo. JJ is not a big fan of climbing any dome after he climbed the dome of St. Peter's Basilica. We walked inside and couldn’t turn back because it was one way system. We had no choice but followed the crowd to climb the dome. JJ was not happy.
The view from the top was lovely. We could see Florence in every angle.
That’s the Bell Tower of Florence Duomo. JJ assured me climbing the dome was enough and he didn’t want to climb the bell tower.
Do you see Palazzo Vecchio in the middle?
Basilica of Santa Maria Novella, the Roman Catholic church, is on the left.
Climbing down was much easier.
Let’s have a closer look of the interior of the dome. Amazing, isn't it?
I wouldn’t say it’s an easy climb. Some areas are claustrophobic. But if you really want to see the awesome view, you just have to suck it up.
