Paris, Day 3: Eiffel Tower

In the morning, we walked around River Seine to find where we could take Batobus. It wasn't easy. I tried to ask directions in French, then the lady spoke bunch of phrases that were not in my French handbook. I got even more confused, therefore, I concluded the handbook was useless. Anyway, after walking back and forth, we finally found the station.

The view from the boat was beautiful and full of surprises. It was like unwrapping a gift. You go, "Wow! That's the famous monument right there." and "I can't believe I am in Paris." On our way to Eiffel Tower, we saw a lot of beautiful structures along the river such as Musée d'Orsay and Pont Alexandre III. They looked just as dreamy and beautiful as they are in the movies.

We got off Batobus at the Eiffel Tower stop. Then it's photo ops with Eiffel Tower. We didn't have time to go up the Eiffel Tower. The line was too long and it's just not economical to spend the precious time on queuing, we had to check out other tourist destinations. You can actually make an appointment to take the lift to the top, it will save you time. Next time, when I am in Paris, I will definitely try that.

When Eiffel Tower was built, some Parisians thought it was so ugly, they refused to look at it when they passed the tower. It is interesting the most controversial structures are always the iconic ones drawing more tourists such as Eiffel Tower and The Louvre's glass pyramid
